Closing in on the new season

With the silliest silly season ever slowly coming to an end, we are now gearing up for a fascinating new season of motor racing, starting off with the three big American races at Daytona and Sebring. Single-seater racing will see even more proliferation with the advent of GP3 and AutoGP further muddying the European road to F1, at a time there was hope that the economic crisis would make life simpler for the rising star of the future. Meanwhile, prototype racing looks very healthy, even though it is plainly in an interim stage towards the new 2011 LMP regulations, whereas GT racing is in a more confused state, with GT1 looking pretty OK after the decision to 'grandfather' many of the existing GT1 designs, but GT2 is wearing thin as it is being spread out across FIA GT2 (which seems in a worrying state), LMS (which looks like coming off best) and GT Open (somewhere in the middle). Let's how 2010 manages to clear things up for a strong 2011.
Who goes where in 2010?...
